Here’s a message to the unvaccinated in the United States from the vast majority of your fellow citizens (75%) who have had at least one shot:

We’re taking our country back. We’re not a nation typified by right-wing politics, death cults, misinformation, disruption of public meetings, physical threats, and a war on science. We want the Department of Justice to commit appropriate resources to fight the dangerous and deadly efforts of state governors to ban mask and vaccination mandates. We have rights, too, and we’re going to finally start acting like the majority. Enough is enough.

We’re going to save the economy and jobs. This country will never prosper in the face of endless mutations and waves of infections. We support Biden’s new rules that all federal employees be vaccinated, and that all private employers with 100 or more employees mandate vaccines or weekly testing and give employees time off with pay to get vaccinated. Our numbers include many business leaders, like the CEOs of many large companies, including Amtrak, Anthem, BlackRock, Cisco, Citigroup, CVS Health, Deloitte, Delta Air Lines, DoorDash, Equinox, Facebook, Ford, Goldman Sachs, Google, Jefferies, Lyft, McDonald’s, MGM Resorts International, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Saks, Salesforce, TJX, Twitter, Tyson Foods, Uber, United Airlines, ViacomCBS, Walgreens, Walt Disney, and Walmart, who have already announced vaccination mandates for their employees.

We’re going to save our medical system. It is is being overwhelmed and bankrupted by unvaccinated Covid patients. Two states are currently rationing medical care. The average cost of hospital treatment for Covid is $20,000. In June and July 2021 alone, COVID-19 hospitalizations among unvaccinated adults cost the U.S. health system over $2 billion. We’re going to get our booster shots as they become available.

We’re going to protect our healthcare workers. These selfless front-line heroes have been constantly exposed to a deadly virus for nearly two years. They are reporting high levels of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Seventy-five percent of health workers report an overall feeling of exhaustion and burnout. Thirty percent are considering leaving the profession. We support Biden’s mandate that healthcare workers working in facilities that receive Medicare of Medicaid reimbursement be vaccinated.

We’re going to protect our children. Child hospitalization rates have increased five times due to the Delta variant. 750,000 children tested positive between August 4 and September 2. We are going to vaccinate our children as soon as the health experts give us the green light to do so.

We’re going to get back to in-person schooling. We support vaccination as a requirement to attend public schools and universities. The Los Angeles school system just took this step yesterday for students 12 and older. We are going to stop this endless cycle of opening schools, then having to quarantine infected students and teachers, and then having to revert back to online learning.

We’re going to make public transportation safe. We support Biden’s decision to double fines for people who won’t abide by federal mask mandates for travel. We want stiffer penalties and jail terms for anti-vaxxers who act violently and disruptively while traveling.

We’re going to make entertainment safe. We support proof of vaccination for attendance at sports events, movie theaters, and music venues.

Heads up, unvaccinated folks: Your lunatic death cult hit its high-water mark two days ago. Now you’re going to learn that the majority has rights, too.
